SANSHU!

2024

SANSHU! is a blockchain-enabled Web3 community focused around finance. Back in April, They approached me with the task of refreshing & reintroducing the brand for their community. With the help of Set Angle, we took inspiration from anime and classic video games, and blended that with modern and retro styles. The final deliverables included a kinetic explainer, fresh brand identity, and a complete stream package.

Thanks to Set Angle for collaborating with me on this project. Working with the team was a blast and I'm happy to finally have this out!

What is SANSHU?

The kinetic explainer was one of many deliverables we made and it was blast to work on! Using the new brand guidelines we created beforehand, we wanted to make sure we reintroduced the client to their current audience and future investors. Each scene was meticulously planned and hand-animated, bringing a dynamic energy that perfectly captured the essence of SANSHU!

Re-branding + Stream Package

Creating SANSHU's New brand identity was all about balancing old and new. The client wanted us to work around one word: Newtro. With that we held brainstorming sessions on Figma to explore different looks, combining modern elements with a retro twist. After creating the rebrand, we made the stream package as RND before moving forward with the kinetic explainer.

From start, to RND, to finish this is our complete process of rebranding SANSHU!. We listened to the client, wrote down all of their key ideas, and combined them into a identity that represents the Newtro feel Sanshu was aiming for. Some frames & assets didn’t fit the vision we wanted and ended up getting a complete overhaul.
